The Boss
Springsteen, to me, is the single greatest singer-songwriter in history. The amount of emotion he puts into his songs and shows is unparalleled, and not to mention they sound incredible. Just listen to Backstreets or Jungleland and try not to feel something. I could listen to the guy all day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I know I don't have the most readers in the world, but I'll get more popular as this blog continues consistently. Had a wonderful dinner with the wife today. Looking forward to Christmastime with her! (Our first Christmas as a married couple!) I am a romantic kind of guy, so these things are important to me!

Christmas Music
Why is Christmas music so awesome? It makes me feel very happy, and I always feel the urge to buy roses for my wife. Is this normal? Of course it is. Because ITS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME...

The Mystery of Time
Time is a mystery to me. It has no beginning and no end, yet here it is. Was it always here? Was there a pretemporal "period" and if so, how did time come into play and how is it even possible, for without time the length of time that this pretemporal period existed is unable to be determined or even imagined. In fact, supposedly if there was a "time before time" so to speak, it still exists! If it had ever existed (a time outside the realm of time) then it must by default still exist, because it never ended, nor began! It has simply always been there. Is leads me to believe that there is a Creator of everything, one who exists outside the realm of time and who is, always was, and who is yet to come. It seems to be the only way anything under the influence of time could have come into being.
Quantum Computing is so Cool
Quantum computing would be so cool. It would allow essentially non-hackable data, and this could be useful especially for banking and finances. What quantum computing is is essentially this: while the classic computer uses 1's and 0's as bits to form strings of bytes as data, quantum computing would have values BETWEEN 1 and 0 that could be used for data, allowing parts of 1 and parts of 0 to be used simultaneously, allowing multiple things to be computed at the same time. These data units are called "qubits". This would revolutionize computing as we know it and change how we think about computers.
Thoughts on Mobile Networks
I was also thinking about the capabilities of 3G and 4G computing, and how computing and data transfer is, in its most basic form, waves of light. The higher the frequency of that light, the more data that can be transferred between mediums, due to the fact that the trough of these waves represents a 0 and the peak represents a 1. This makes up the data that we send across wireless networks. 3G acts at about 1GHz frequency, or about a billon bits a second transferred, while 4G is about 60 times that much. 5G would be immensely fast, and is most certainly attainable in the next 5 to 10 years.
Musings on RAM
I was thinking today during a physics/engineering discussion about how what RAM is. A good way to describe the relationship between RAM and a processor is thus: suppose there is a well some distance from your house and you are required to take it home in a bucket. The size of the Bucket is like the RAM and the speed with which you are able to transfer your water to your home is like the speed of the processor.
